FAQs
Dental Implants
Are dental implants permanent?
Yes. With proper care, dental implants can last decades — often a lifetime. They’re designed to fuse with your jawbone for a secure, long-lasting solution.
Am I a candidate for dental implants?
Most healthy adults are candidates. A consultation and 3D scan will help us determine if your bone structure and overall health support dental implant treatment.
How long does the dental implant process take?
The timeline varies. Some patients can receive implants and restorations in one day, while others may need several months for healing and bone integration.
Do dental implants hurt?
Most patients report only mild discomfort, similar to a simple extraction. We offer multiple sedation dentistry options to keep you completely comfortable.
Oral Surgery
Do I need my wisdom teeth removed?
Not always. We recommend removal if your wisdom teeth are causing pain, infection, or crowding. A simple evaluation can tell us what’s best for you.
What’s the recovery time after oral surgery?
Most patients return to normal activities within a few days. We’ll provide detailed post-op instructions to help you heal quickly and comfortably.
What is bone grafting and why would I need it?
Bone grafting rebuilds areas of the jaw where bone is thin or missing. It’s often recommended before dental implants to create a stable foundation.
Do you offer jaw surgery?
Yes. Our oral surgeons perform corrective jaw surgery for patients with misalignment, TMJ issues, or breathing problems, helping restore function and comfort.
Sedation Dentistry
Is sedation dentistry safe?
Absolutely. Your vital signs are continuously monitored, and our surgeons are trained in advanced sedation techniques. Patient safety is always our top priority.
What types of sedation do you offer?
We provide IV sedation, oral sedation, and nitrous oxide (laughing gas). We’ll recommend the right option based on your procedure and comfort level.
Can I drive after sedation?
You can drive after nitrous oxide since it wears off quickly. For IV or oral sedation, you’ll need a responsible adult to take you home.
Will I remember my procedure?
Most patients feel deeply relaxed and remember little, if anything, about the procedure. That’s why sedation dentistry is so effective for easing anxiety.
